Our Client

Is a family law firm based in Oshawa

Responsibilities

Manage an active caseload of family law files (custody, support, property division, divorce)
Represent clients at case conferences, motions, settlement conferences, mediation, arbitration, TMC, and court
Draft and review pleadings, financial statements, and settlement agreements
Advise clients directly on case strategy, options, and status
Liaise with opposing counsel and court staff, and negotiate resolutions where appropriate
Direct and review the work of clerks and legal assistants assigned to files

Requirements

Licensed to practice law in Ontario (member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario)
2+ years of family law litigation experience preferred
Experience appearing independently at conferences, motions, and hearings
Experience with CLIO is an asset
Strong drafting and negotiation skills

Responsibilities
