- Partner with hiring managers and HR colleagues to understand business needs, anticipate recruitment requirements and develop appropriate sourcing strategies.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and attract qualified candidates for both immediate vacancies and future talent needs.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for key, recurring and difficult-to-fill roles.
- Provide hiring managers with market intelligence related to candidate availability, compensation, sourcing approaches, recruitment challenges and other relevant labour market conditions.
- Maintain regular communication with the business to understand upcoming recruitment needs and support workforce planning.
- Develop and refine job descriptions and job postings in partnership with hiring managers and HR.

- Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Use recruitment data and metrics to identify trends, evaluate sourcing effectiveness and support recruitment decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment partners, educational institutions and other talent sources.
- Support campus recruitment, co-op and recent graduate initiatives.
- Support Black & McDonald’s diversity, equity and inclusion objectives through inclusive recruitment and sourcing practices.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 8+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably supporting an operational, high-volume or multi-location environment.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple recruitment priorities and an assigned portfolio of vacancies.
- Strong sourcing capability with experience proactively identifying and engaging passive candidates and building talent pipelines.
- Experience recruiting within construction, facilities management, skilled trades, service operations or a related industry is an asset.
- Strong business partnership and consultation skills, with the ability to provide advice and effectively influence hiring decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple searches and hiring stakeholders simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to use recruitment data, market information and sourcing insights to inform recruitment strategies.
- Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn and other recruitment and sourcing tools.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with HR colleagues and business leaders.
