The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Project Managers to support data centre construction in the Edmonton region.

This opportunity suits someone with strong technical knowledge who can work independently, coordinate contractors, and take ownership of their responsibilities. You should be comfortable making informed decisions, identifying problems early, and following through on commitments.

Data centre experience is valuable. Candidates with relevant experience delivering complex industrial, energy, mining, or major commercial construction projects are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate assigned construction activities across relevant electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, or controls scopes.

• Manage contractor interfaces and help resolve issues affecting field execution.

• Monitor schedules, costs, progress, and deliverables within your assigned scope.

• Identify risks, communicate concerns early, and recommend practical solutions.

• Provide clear, accurate reporting on progress, outstanding issues, and priorities.

• Work closely with project leadership, contractors, consultants, and other disciplines.

• Support safe execution and adherence to project quality requirements.

• Take ownership of decisions and actions, escalating issues when appropriate.

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated experience managing complex construction projects or significant project scopes.

• A strong technical background in one or more relevant construction disciplines.

• Sound judgment and the ability to work independently within agreed responsibilities.

• Clear communication and a direct, transparent approach to reporting progress and challenges.

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing contractor performance.

• Practical knowledge of scheduling, cost control, construction documentation, safety, and quality requirements.

• Relevant education, trade qualifications, or an equivalent combination of training and field experience.

• PMP certification is an asset.

• Previous experience managing data centre construction, including coordination of critical electrical and mechanical systems, is a strong asset.
