Title: Bingo Volunteer Coordinator
Reports To: Resource Development Manager
Job Schedule/Hours: Part-Time Position, 9AM – 9PM (Sunday to Saturday), 4 – 16 hours per week
Job Region: All Blue Door Locations (Hybrid)
Salary: $19.50 per hour

Job Summary
Reporting to the Resource Development Manager, the Bingo Volunteer Coordinator supports the coordination and scheduling of volunteers for Blue Door’s Bingo activities. The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining volunteer schedules, communicating shift details, responding to last-minute cancellations, arranging replacement coverage, and maintaining accurate volunteer records. The successful candidate will be highly organized, dependable, and comfortable providing support during evenings and weekends as required.
Responsibilities
Bingo Volunteer Coordination
- Coordinate and maintain volunteer schedules for Blue Door’s Bingo locations.
- Communicate shift details, reminders, scheduling changes, and expectations to volunteers.
- Respond to last-minute cancellations and arrange replacement coverage as needed.
- Provide scheduling support during evenings and weekends.
- Report Bingo volunteer hours quarterly.
- Work with Resource Development Coordinator to cover missed shifts, attendance concerns, and volunteer scheduling issues.
Volunteer Compliance
- Maintain accurate volunteer attendance, scheduling, and hours records.
- Support compliance with Bingo volunteer and staffing requirements.
Bingo Administration
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks related to Blue Door’s Bingo operations.
- Maintain accurate Bingo schedules, volunteer records, attendance information, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with preparing, organizing, and maintaining Bingo-related forms, reports, checklists, and records.
- Track volunteer participation and ensure required documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
- Support follow-up on outstanding paperwork, shift documentation, and other administrative requirements.
- Assist the Resource Development team with Bingo-related reporting and record-keeping as required.
- Maintain regular communication with the Resource Development team regarding volunteer coverage and concerns.
- Communicate with the Charity Coordinator regarding Bingo and take on any Board-specific responsibilities and other tasks related to volunteer coordination.
- Other duties as assigned.

- · Meets with manager on a regular basis and participates in the completion of annual performance evaluation.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in fundraising, event management, volunteer coordination, business, or a related field is an asset.
- 1-2 years experience in planning events and/or individual giving is an asset.
- Experience in managing committees and volunteers is an asset.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with donor relationship management and database tools, including DonorPerfect and Monday, are an asset.
- Able to work independently but also as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow through with a high sense of urgency.
- Sound judgment, tact, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Possess computer skills with specific competence with spreadsheets, databases, etc.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Valid Driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance.
- Ability to travel throughout York Region.
