Senior Odoo Functional Consultant

Blue Sky Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Odoo Functional Consultant specializing in Purchasing, Inventory, and Warehouse Management for a 6-month contract engagement in Canada.

We are looking for a hands-on consultant with strong business process knowledge and proven Odoo implementation experience who can lead functional workstreams, collaborate directly with clients, and deliver practical ERP solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Procurement

• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design workshops.
• Configure end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs, purchase orders, vendor management, and approval workflows.
• Implement purchasing agreements, supplier pricelists, replenishment rules, and procurement automation.
• Configure Make-to-Order (MTO), Make-to-Stock (MTS), and inventory replenishment strategies.
• Ensure seamless integration between Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Accounting.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

• Design and implement multi-warehouse and multi-location operations.
• Configure receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and internal transfers.
• Implement warehouse routes, stock reservation, removal strategies, and replenishment processes.
• Configure barcode scanning, lot and serial tracking, and inventory traceability.
• Support cycle counts, physical inventory, landed costs, and inventory valuation.
• Optimize warehouse processes and inventory accuracy.

Odoo Implementation & Delivery

• Lead functional implementation activities for Odoo 20.
• Conduct business process reviews, requirements documentation, and fit-gap assessments.
• Translate business requirements into functional designs and configuration specifications.
• Work with developers on customizations, integrations, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare test scenarios, conduct system testing, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support data migration, user training, go-live preparation, and post-implementation support.
• Act as the primary functional contact for client stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of Odoo functional consulting or implementation experience.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and client-facing consulting skills.
• Proven hands-on experience with Odoo 19, particularly Purchasing, Inventory, and Warehouse Management.
• Strong knowledge of Odoo 20 functionality and implementation considerations.
• Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end Odoo ERP projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain, warehouse operations, and inventory costing.
• Experience with complex warehouse configurations, replenishment strategies, and barcode operations.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications, process flows, and solution design documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with functional and technical teams.
