BlueDot is a global leader in outbreak intelligence, helping governments and businesses around the world quickly identify, understand, and respond to infectious disease threats to protect their people, assets, and operations. Our technology platform integrates human expertise with AI to generate timely, actionable insights for our global clients, thereby creating a healthier, safer, and more resilient world.

We've built a strong foundation of public and private sector clients across the globe, and we're now entering an exciting new phase of growth. We're looking for a Business Development Representative who is energized by our mission and eager to help fuel our pipeline of new business across public and private sector markets.

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Representative at BlueDot, you will play a critical role in fueling our sales pipeline and amplifying our market presence. You'll partner closely with our Account Executives to generate and qualify new business opportunities across the following audiences:

Global security operations centers (GSOCs) and occupational health & safety teams responsible for protecting employees, business assets, and global operations (enterprise to mid-market level)
Life sciences companies with products aimed at preventing and controlling outbreaks (manufacturers of vaccines, infectious disease therapeutics and diagnostics, disinfectants etc.)
Infectious disease surveillance and intelligence teams at public health agencies responsible for protecting their communities from dangerous outbreaks (national to sub-national level)

Beyond pipeline generation, this role also owns key product marketing responsibilities such as creating sales collateral and promoting BlueDot's thought leadership and lead generation activities on LinkedIn, including webinars, conference presentations, and white papers. This is a high-visibility role with a clear path to growth into a full-cycle Account Executive position for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing

Primary Role: Pipeline Generation & Qualification

Researching, identifying, and prospecting into target accounts across GSOCs, occupational health and safety teams, life sciences companies, and public health agencies
Executing outbound multi-channel campaigns (email, LinkedIn, and other channels) to generate qualified sales meetings for Account Executives
Qualifying inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, website activity, webinars, and events, and routing them appropriately
Tracking key pipeline metrics (activity volume, connect rates, meeting-to-opportunity conversion) to continuously refine outbound approach
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions and pipeline activity in the CRM
Collaborating closely with Account Executives to align outbound strategy with active deals and territory priorities

Additional Support Activities: Product Marketing & Content Generation

Creating and maintaining sales collateral, including one-pagers, case studies, and presentation decks, that help Account Executives tell BlueDot's story clearly and credibly
Partnering with the Product team to translate product updates and platform capabilities into compelling, sales-ready messaging
Keeping collateral current with the latest customer proof points, competitive positioning, and market trends across enterprise risk management, occupational health and safety, pharma-life sciences, and public health

Additional Support Activities: LinkedIn & Lead Generation Activities

Planning and promoting BlueDot's lead generation activities on LinkedIn, including webinars, conference presentations, and white papers
Building and executing organic and paid LinkedIn content calendars to drive awareness and inbound interest ahead of and following key campaigns
Monitoring engagement and lead quality from LinkedIn activities and feeding insights back into outbound targeting and messaging

What We're Looking For

Core Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in a business development, sales development, or similar outbound-focused role, ideally selling SaaS/DaaS subscriptions
High sense of ownership and a strong willingness to learn
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling messaging
Curious, organized, and self-motivated, able to manage a high volume of outbound activity alongside other priorities
Comfortable adapting in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
Passionate about contributing to a healthier, safer, and more resilient world through scientific and technological innovation

Preferred Qualifications (training provided)

No prior experience is required in the areas below; we'll provide training and support to help you grow into them. Prior exposure is simply a plus.

Experience or interest in product marketing or content creation such as writing and designing sales collateral such as one-pagers, decks, and case studies
Familiarity with LinkedIn as a business development and content promotion channel
Experience supporting or promoting webinars, conference presentations, or published content (e.g., white papers)
