The team designs building structures and components using concrete, steel, masonry, wood, and cold-formed steel, supporting diverse project requirements. In addition to new builds, the company performs structural assessments and evaluations of existing structures to ensure safety and performance. Position: Structural Designer

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years of relevant structural engineering or design experience.
- Strong interest in building structural design and a willingness to learn.
- Working knowledge of structural engineering principles and building construction.
- Experience with Revit is considered an asset; willingness and ability to develop strong Revit skills is required.
- Familiarity with structural analysis and design software is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a small, collaborative team.
- Must possess a valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Assist with structural analysis and design of buildings and other structures under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
- Prepare structural drawings, details, plans, sections, and schedules using Revit.
- Develop and maintain structural Revit models, including framing, foundations, structural elements, connections, and details.
- Produce and revise structural drawings in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards.
- Assist with structural calculations and design using concrete, steel, masonry, wood, and cold-formed steel systems.
- Coordinate structural designs and drawings with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other consultant drawings.
- Review architectural and consultant drawings to identify structural requirements and potential conflicts.
- Assist with preparation of engineering reports, specifications, correspondence, and other project documentation.
- Assist with reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and construction documents.
- Participate in site visits, field reviews, and construction-related activities as required.
- Assist with responding to contractor and consultant inquiries during construction.
- Maintain organized project files and contribute to meeting project schedules and deadlines.
Work collaboratively with the project team while developing the ability to complete assigned tasks independently.
