- Manage and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical project data, ensuring data integrity, minimizing loss, and facilitating quick recovery in the event of an incident.
- Work closely with production supervisors and other key stakeholders to understand the technical requirements of ongoing projects and optimize workflows to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
- Develop and enforce security measures to protect intellectual property and sensitive data, ensuring robust defences against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Continuously monitor advancements in IT and production related technologies to enhance infrastructure and workflows, ensuring that the company's systems and processes remain cutting-edge and efficient.
- Keep comprehensive records of IT systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure clarity, consistency, and effective management of the company's technology infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts for software, hardware, and IT services.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in an IT management or leadership role, ideally within the Visual Effects, Video Games, or Digital Film Production Industries.
- Extensive experience with high-performance computing, server management, and network architecture.
- Experience managing large-scale storage systems (NAS) and understanding of data management best practices.
- Expertise in cloud services and hybrid infrastructures for scalability and remote work.
- Excellent ability to address complex issues with attention to detail and effective solutions, coupled with the capability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. Proficient in Python scripting to automate tasks and streamline processes.
