Role Summary

Drive sales growth for BMO Life Assurance's Segregated Funds and Annuities business through proactive outbound sales activity with MGAs, advisors, and brokers. This role is primarily focused on advisor acquisition, advisor engagement, lead generation, and sales pipeline development, while supporting Business Development Managers (BDMs) in achieving regional sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct proactive outbound sales calls to MGAs, advisors, and brokers to generate new business opportunities and increase sales of Segregated Funds and Annuities.
Identify, qualify, and develop net-new advisor relationships within assigned markets and distribution channels.
Build and manage a sales pipeline through consistent prospecting, follow-up, and advisor engagement activities.
Partner with BDMs to uncover opportunities, secure advisor meetings, and support territory growth plans.
Promote BMO Insurance Segregated Funds and Annuity solutions through phone-based sales campaigns, virtual meetings, and targeted business development initiatives.
Re-engage dormant advisors and increase product penetration within existing advisor relationships.
Provide product support, illustrations, quotations, competitive comparisons, and sales ideas to help advisors win business.
Deliver product education and sales presentations to increase advisor knowledge and product adoption.
Support large case opportunities and coordinate special quote requests to deliver an exceptional advisor experience.
Track advisor activity, sales opportunities, pipeline progression, and business results using CRM and reporting tools.
Share advisor feedback, market intelligence, and competitive insights to support business growth and product development.
Contribute to regional sales targets through disciplined prospecting, lead generation, and advisor relationship management.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in outbound sales, inside wholesaling, business development, or advisor-facing sales within financial services.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of Segregated Funds, Annuities, retirement income solutions, and advisor distribution channels.
Proven ability to generate leads, conduct high-volume sales outreach, and achieve sales targets.
Strong prospecting, relationship management, and pipeline development skills.
Life Insurance License (LLQP) an asset.
CFP, CSC, IFIC, or related designation considered an asset.
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a highly proactive sales environment.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
