The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, process and service-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced sales environment while remaining flexible. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a requirement. Finally, they are result-oriented, having the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement. Preference will be given to candidates in Calgary or Toronto.

Role Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting the BMO Global Asset Management Canada Distribution group in the retail channel through the execution of sales enablement initiatives such as communications, events, content development and other value-add initiatives as well as in an administrative capacity. The successful candidate will identify, develop, and deliver initiatives that align with business priorities, enhance the client experience and ultimately enable sales. It ensures that sales teams understand and are engaged on key business initiatives and provides them with the information needed to achieve sales targets more effectively. This role is accountable to assist Sales Leaders, Vice President and Senior Associates in the execution and production of sales enablement and value-add initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Event and sponsorship management and execution: PM tours, client events, conferences. Leads and execute small salesperson led events up to ~20 people.
Project manage development of non-product related value add sales collateral including practice management content (ie. Linked In for prospecting, Estate planning, price of advice, tax planning & advice etc), sales newsletters etc.
Partner closely with sales, events, and leadership teams to ensure smooth execution of key processes and initiatives and continuous improvement of sales support processes.
Support onsite sales team needs at the office, including printing, shipping sales materials, managing physical collateral, and ensuring readiness for meetings and client engagements.
Coordinate sales materials, promotional items, and logistics for small meetings, internal initiatives, and advisor-facing engagements.
Management of shared repositories (e.g. shared drives etc.)
Act as back-up for key initiatives and others on team

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge

University degree
5-10 years of experience in financial services, or asset management industry
Canadian Securities Course completion or equivalent mandatory
Event planning and execution experience important
Experience in content development is important
Project Management experience an asset
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the investment industry an asset
Inventory and content management experience an asset
Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools including CoPilot, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
General understanding of investments and how sales driven firms operate
2-3 days per week in office

Salary:

$55,500.00 - $120,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
