Blue Rewards Media is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven Manager, Media Sales. This unique hybrid "hunter" role is designed for an experienced media sales professional who excels at high-level prospecting and selling while simultaneously contributing to the operational processes that power our growing sales engine.
As a seasoned individual contributor, you will own an annual sales target, focused on finding and developing new business within an assigned vertical GTM (Go To Market) strategy.
You will leverage your deep media agency and client relationships to expand our portfolio, add incremental revenue and function as a critical link to the Sales Operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development & Outside Sales (the "Hunter" mandate)

Revenue Generation: Proactively identify, engage and close new media sales opportunities with a view towards exceeding an annual sales target.

Vertical Strategy and GTM: Develop and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy for your assigned verticals, identifying seasonal trends, category-specific KPI's, and high-growth prospects within key sectors.

Relationship Building: Leverage established senior-level relationships within media agencies and brand-direct accounts to build long-term, strategic partnerships that scale revenue.

Consultative Selling: Match client needs with Blue Rewards Media's unique first party data-driven media channels, positioning the program as an essential commerce media partner for your vertical.

Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations with media planners, buyers and marketers to deliver value, maximize revenue and ensure campaign success and client satisfaction.

Sales Operations and Strategy (the "Sales Ops" mandate)

Territory Definition and Management: Define and implement a structured territory management plan to ensure optimal market coverage for your assigned vertical(s).

Pipeline & Target Forecasting: Own the end-to-end pipeline management process for your assigned sales territories. Provide accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasts to sales leadership and upper management as required.

CRM Hygiene: Take full responsibility for ongoing CRM data integrity, ensuring that all sales activities, lead stages and closing probabilities are tracked, updated and reported appropriately.

Process Optimization: Develop and refine sales playbooks, pitch decks, outreach cadences, communication templates and contract workflows to continuously improve efficiency throughout the sales cycle.

Market Insights: Analyze market trends and competitive activity within your assigned vertical(s) to provide actionable feedback to the sales organization.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing, Analytics and Products teams to align media sales strategies with Blue Rewards' broader data capabilities.

Bridge the gap between front-end sales activities and back-end fulfillment to ensure seamless and efficient campaign delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

Revenue Provenance: a proven track record of meeting or exceeding 7-figure sales targets in the digital or commerce media space.

Strategic GTM Experience: demonstrated experience building and executing vertical-specific sales strategies that involve identifying unique category challenges and audience opportunities.

Media Agency Relationships: deep, existing relationships within the Canadian digital media industry (both agency and brand level) are essential.

Sales and Ops Expertise: experience in outside media sales combined with experience/exposure to sales operations including pipeline management, revenue forecasting and territory mapping.

CRM Proficiency: advanced expertise with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

Analytical Rigor: demonstrated ability to interpret complex data sets including audience data, ROI metrics, campaign performance KPI's, and revenue forecast/budgeting data.

Salary:

$70,000.00 - $150,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
