TERRITORY REPRESENTATIVE

Regions of Ontario, the Maritimes, and Montérégie

The Dealer Services Department is looking for a key person to join its team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Dealer Services, the primary role of the Territory Representative consists of acting as an expert advisor and point of contact for dealers regarding all aspects of their store performance, both financially and operationally.

More specifically, the incumbent will have the following main responsibilities:

Maintain and develop lasting relationships with dealers, seeking to understand and satisfy their needs;
Support dealers in identifying their sales, margin, and operations strategies, as well as in their promotional activities;
Evaluate the potential of each store, ensuring sales per square foot are maximised to reach established sales objectives, and call upon external specialists when necessary;
Promote products and BMR’s various commercial programmes, support negotiated purchasing programmes during buying shows, and ensure increased brand representation and effectiveness;
Conduct various audits to ensure the application of operational standards and BMR’s different programmes;
Represent BMR to dealers while respecting its operational standards, policies, and procedures;
Perform monthly sales analyses, develop a dashboard, produce reports, conduct data analysis, propose corrective measures where necessary, and create action plans within budgeted targets.

In their toolbox, our future colleague has:

College or university diploma in administration, marketing, or another relevant field;
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in the retail sector;
Note: any other combination of education and experience may be considered;
Strong knowledge of market trends in the hardware and building materials industry;
Knowledge of the Office 365 suite, including intermediate-level Excel;
Due to the nature of the role and the need to collaborate with partners across Canada, proficiency in both French and English is required ;
A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel frequently are required, primarily within Ontario, the Maritimes, and the Montérégie region.

REPRÉSENTANT / REPRÉSENTANTE DE TERRITOIRE

La Direction Service aux marchands est à la recherche d’une personne clé pour se joindre à son équipe. Relevant du Directeur principal, service aux marchands, le rôle principal du/de la Représentant(e) de territoire consiste à agir à titre de conseiller expert et de point de contact auprès des marchands pour tout ce qui concerne la performance de leur magasin, tant au niveau financier qu’opérationnel.

Plus précisément, le/la titulaire du poste aura comme principales responsabilités :

Entretenir et développer des relations durables avec les marchands, chercher à comprendre leurs besoins et à les satisfaire ;
Supporter les marchands dans l’identification de leurs stratégies de ventes, de marges et d’opérations ainsi que dans leurs activités promotionnelles ;
Évaluer le potentiel de chaque magasin, veiller à maximiser les ventes par pied carré dans le but d’atteindre les objectifs de ventes établis et recourir aux services des spécialistes externes, le cas échéant ;
Promouvoir les produits, les différents programmes commerciaux de BMR, supporter les programmes d’achats négociés lors des salons et s’assurer d’accroître la représentation et l’efficacité de la marque ;
Réaliser différents audits de manière à s’assurer de l’application des normes opérationnelles et des différents programmes de BMR;
Représenter BMR auprès des marchands dans le respect de ses normes opérationnelles, ses politiques et ses procédures ;
Procéder à l’analyse mensuelle de ses ventes, développer un tableau de bord, produire des rapports, procéder à l’analyse des données, proposer des mesures correctives le cas échéant et faire des plans d’action dans les cibles budgétées.

Dans son coffre à outils, notre futur.e collègue possède :

Diplôme d’études collégiales ou universitaires en administration, marketing ou autre domaine pertinent ;
Minimum de 5 à 8 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de la vente au détail ;
Note : toute autre combinaison de scolarité et d’expérience pourrait être considérée ;
Bonnes connaissances des tendances du marché dans le domaine de la quincaillerie et des matériaux ;
Connaissance de la suite Office 365, dont Excel niveau intermédiaire ;
En raison de la nature du rôle nécessitant des interactions avec des partenaires nationaux, le bilinguisme en français et en anglais est requis pour ce poste ;
Détenir un permis de conduire valide en raison de fréquents déplacements principalement dans les régions de l’Ontario, des Maritimes et de la Montérégie.
