The position at a glance
The IT for Functions AMER team supports various Human Resources sponsors for both business-as-usual operations and strategic projects. This role bridges the gap between IT and Human Resources to deliver high-impact solutions that enhance usability and efficiency. You will ensure alignment with the BNP Paribas mission by translating business needs into technical requirements to support HR sponsors across the Americas.
In detail
- Partner with HR sponsors to define functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Collaborate with development and production support teams to deliver technical solutions on time and within budget.
- Manage projects by developing detailed plans and monitoring progress to ensure strict adherence to established norms and standards.
- Facilitate business testing, training, and user acceptance to guarantee seamless adoption of new tools and processes.
- Contribute to decision-making by providing insights and managing expectations to secure stakeholder buy-in.
- Apply Agile practices and SDLC knowledge to streamline project delivery through structured methodologies.
- Execute stakeholder management by building trust with HR sponsors and IT teams to align organizational priorities.
- Perform technical translation to convert complex business needs into actionable requirements for developers.
- Conduct project planning by creating and monitoring timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet objectives.
- Utilize cross-functional communication to explain technical or process details clearly to non-technical audiences.
The Strengths And Skills That Will Help You Succeed
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- The knowledge of English and French is required.*
- The knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is considered an asset.
- Collaborative problem solving when working in dispersed teams to meet deadlines.
- Responsible task prioritization when managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptable approach when adjusting to evolving business needs and technical constraints.
- Stakeholder management to build trust with HR sponsors and IT teams.
- Technical translation of complex business needs into actionable requirements.
- Project planning through the creation and monitoring of timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Cross-functional communication to convey technical details to non-technical audiences.
- SQL queries for data analysis.
- Advanced Excel for manipulation, reporting, and decision-support.
- PowerPoint for providing clear status updates to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft and/or Oracle HCM.
- Process modeling using tools such as UML.
- Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Professional working proficiency in French and English languages are required.
