Account Manager – Contract Manufacturing & CPG

Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON

Work Arrangement: On-site

We are seeking a high-impact Account Manager to lead strategic account growth, client retention, and operational excellence across a portfolio of clients within the healthcare and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors.

This is a highly visible role for an experienced account or program management professional who can combine commercial relationship management, supply chain coordination, operational problem-solving, and business growth.

The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for assigned clients, managing projects from quotation through delivery while building long-term partnerships and identifying opportunities for expanded business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management

Own relationships and growth plans for assigned healthcare and CPG clients.
Identify opportunities for volume growth, SKU expansion, automation, and cost optimization.
Support client business reviews, focusing on performance, risks, opportunities, and growth initiatives.
Develop long-term account strategies aligned with client supply chain and commercialization objectives.

Client Retention & Operational Excellence

Support onboarding of new clients and program transitions when required.
Monitor key performance indicators including service levels, OTIF, quality, and production adherence.
Coordinate cross-functional resolution of supply disruptions, material shortages, production delays, and other operational issues.
Conduct gap analyses and drive corrective actions to protect client relationships, service levels, and margins.
Manage projects and timelines from quotation through successful deliver.

Supply Chain & Cost Optimization

Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Support vendor performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities for material standardization, automation compatibility, and cost efficiencies.
Work cross-functionally to improve service levels, supply continuity, quality, and cost competitiveness.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in account management, program management, client strategy, commercial operations, or a related field.
Experience in contract manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or CPG is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Strong sense of urgency and exceptional attention to detail.
Proven analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office, and AI-enabled business tools.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of priorities.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
