What are your contributions to the team?

Support the Global 5500, 6500, and 8000 Final Assembly Lines by assisting with engineering activities and contributing to the timely resolution of production-related issues.
Assist with Change Management activities, including tracking changes, supporting governance processes, and following up on action items to ensure timely closure.
Contribute to the Bombardier Operational Excellence System by tracking Problem Solving and Process Improvement initiatives, developing tools and applications, and preparing and presenting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
Support the Final Line document release process by maintaining databases and coordinating the follow-up of outstanding actions.
Assist with the investigation, tracking, and governance of Engineering Technical Issues.
Support the management and governance of Engineering Deliverables by maintaining databases and monitoring action item completion.
Facilitate meetings by preparing presentation materials, capturing meeting minutes, and ensuring timely distribution of documentation.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and various departments across Bombardier.

How to thrive in this role?

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and having successfully completed at least two years of study.
Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced engineering environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with CAD tools is an asset.
Familiarity with Power BI, Python, and Microsoft Project is considered an asset.
Previous work experience and/or completion of an engineering internship is considered an asset

Location: Global 7500/8000
Duration: 12 months
Flexible workplace-Hybrid

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.

Responsibilities

Support engineering activities for the Global 5500, 6500, and 8000 Final Assembly Lines, including production issue resolution, change management, technical issue tracking, and engineering deliverables. Maintain databases, track improvement initiatives and action items, prepare KPI reports and meeting materials, and coordinate documentation with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Applicants must be current students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have completed at least two years of study. Strong communication and teamwork, eagerness to learn, and Microsoft Office proficiency are expected; CAD familiarity is an asset, while Power BI, Python, Microsoft Project, and prior engineering work or internship experience are also considered assets.
