What are your contributions to the team?

  • Contribute to the deployment of the company-wide Operational Excellence initiative, including technical elements, management tools, and practices.
  • Participate in Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and problem-solving events with Operational Excellence specialists and cross-functional teams.
  • Support the BOE team in engaging the organization in a culture of operational excellence as a means of achieving company goals.
  • Conduct applicable time studies under the direction of a BOE specialist.
  • Collect data and perform statistical analyses to evaluate process performance.
  • Analyze current processes to identify improvement opportunities and sources of waste.
  • Collaborate in the presentation of improvement plans, data analyses, and other BOE activities.
  • Promote a culture of standardization and execution through the effective use of processes, aligned KPIs, and infrastructure.
  • Create or support the design of process flowcharts, Value Stream Maps (VSM), and Standard Operating Procedures


How to thrive in this role?

  • You are currently enrolled in a diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in engineering, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • You are able to communicate in French and English.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills.
  • You have experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • You have experience in data management.
  • You work well in a team environment and are known for contributing to a positive team spirit.
  • You are detail-oriented and rigorous.

  • Duration: 8 months
  • Flexible workplace-Hybrid


It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.

Responsibilities

Support the company-wide Operational Excellence initiative by participating in improvement events, conducting time studies, collecting and analyzing process data, and identifying waste and improvement opportunities. Help develop and present improvement plans, process maps, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures while promoting standardized practices and aligned KPIs.

Requirements

Applicants must be current students enrolled in a diploma, bachelor's, or master's program in engineering, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field; the internship is not open to new graduates. Candidates should communicate in French and English, have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience with Microsoft Office and data management.
