Original job description

Archived listing. The details below describe a past opening.

Every company is using AI now. Most of them have no idea how much they're spending on it, which tools their teams are using, or what data is going where.

Bonito fixes that. Think of it as a universal remote for AI: one place where a company can connect all its AI tools, see what they cost, keep them secure, and stay in control. No matter which AI providers they use, no matter which cloud they're on.

We've built the product. Now we need someone who can walk into a room (or a Zoom) and explain it so clearly that a CFO nods along and an IT lead says "finally."

What you'll do

Be our first dedicated seller: find companies that need Bonito, start conversations, and close deals
Translate technical ideas into plain language: cost savings, risk reduction, peace of mind
Work directly with our founder to shape the pitch, the pricing, and the sales playbook
Tell us what customers are really asking for, so we build the right things next

You might be a fit if

You've sold software, cloud, or tech services to businesses and closed real deals
You can explain complicated things simply, and people actually enjoy listening to you
You're curious about AI but don't need to be an engineer (we'll handle the deep technical questions together)
You like building something from scratch more than following someone else's script
You never walk into a meeting without doing your homework

Bonus points

Experience selling to IT, Security, or Finance teams
A network in Canadian enterprise, financial services, or mid-market tech

What we offer

A founding role with real ownership and upside as we grow
A direct line to the founder and real influence over how the company grows
A product that solves a problem every company is about to feel

How we hire

Our process is conversational, not a script. We'd rather see how you think than hear you recite a résumé, so come curious and come prepared.

If you can make a room full of non-technical people understand why this matters, we want to talk. Send a message or apply with a few lines on the most complicated thing you've ever sold, and how you explained it.

About employer

More about this job

Responsibilities

Find prospective customers, initiate sales conversations, and close deals as the company's first dedicated seller. Work with the founder to develop the pitch, pricing, and sales playbook, and relay customer needs to inform product development.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience selling software, cloud, or technology services to businesses and a record of closing deals. They should communicate complex ideas clearly, be curious about AI, enjoy building sales processes from scratch, and prepare thoroughly for meetings; experience selling to IT, Security, or Finance teams is a plus.
