Join our team as a System Administrator III, Enterprise Infrastructure! In this role you’ll oversee the timely and budget-conscious deployment of enterprise systems and software platforms. Maintain a high system uptime rate through proactive maintenance and effective incident response. Establish and enforce a set of IT best practices to reduce recurring IT issues improving response times and coach junior team members.
This role is based at our Home Office, located in Delta BC.
What You'll Do
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services
- Manage compute, networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and governance platforms
- Develop automation using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and Infrastructure as Code
Identity & Security
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, RBAC, and identity governance
- Support privileged access management, identity lifecycle processes, and access reviews
- Troubleshoot complex authentication, federation, and access-related issues
- Partner with security teams to implement secure and compliant solutions
Enterprise Platforms
- Support Microsoft Fabric and other enterprise data platform services
- Administer enterprise server, virtualization, storage, backup, and Microsoft 365 environments
- Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability
- Recommend and implement improvements that enhance reliability, security, and operational efficiency
Infrastructure Delivery & Operations
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and operational handoff
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures
- Mentor junior administrators and provide technical leadership across the team
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional after-hours support as required
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, an Associate’s degree with extensive experience and advanced certifications
- 5-7 years of experience in system administration or related fields, with evidence of technical leadership, project management, and advanced troubleshooting skills
- Advanced system and network security practices
- Expertise in automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Powershell, Teraform)
- Deep understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Experience with coaching, mentoring, strategic planning and project management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a level of high adaptability and composure in dynamic and fast-paced environments
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), cloud-specific certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are considered an asset
- Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and responsible use of emerging technologies, including AI, to improve effectiveness and decision-making
- Flexibility to work after hours as required
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively
- Bilingualism English/French is considered an asset
