Original job description

Looking for an internship that gives you real business experience, professional development, and the chance to work on campaigns people genuinely recognize?

Boomerang is currently expanding its Toronto team and is looking for ambitious individuals to join as Sales Interns. This opportunity offers hands-on experience working across face-to-face sales campaigns representing nationally recognized consumer brands alongside meaningful charitable campaigns focused on donor acquisition and community awareness.

This internship is ideal for students, graduates, and career starters who want practical experience that goes beyond admin tasks or shadowing. From day one, interns gain exposure to customer engagement, communication strategy, business development, and campaign operations within a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

If you’re looking to build confidence, strengthen your communication skills, and gain experience that can support long-term career progression, this internship offers a strong foundation.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Sales Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced team members while gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of live sales, retail, and fundraising campaigns across Toronto.

Responsibilities include:

Representing consumer brands and charitable campaigns through face-to-face customer interactions
Engaging customers at retail pop-ups, event-based campaigns, and community-focused promotional sites
Learning how customer acquisition and donor engagement strategies work in real environments
Building communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills
Supporting customer onboarding, sign-ups, and campaign interactions
Working closely with team leaders to understand sales performance, campaign goals, and client expectations
Participating in live promotional events and brand activations across Toronto
Developing confidence in professional conversations and public-facing interactions
Taking part in daily coaching sessions, mentorship, and business development workshops

What’s In It for the Intern?

This internship is designed to provide practical, transferable experience that helps individuals build confidence and develop skills that are valuable across multiple industries.

Interns will gain:

Hands-on business and customer-facing experience
Exposure to both commercial and charity-focused campaigns
Real-world communication and sales training
Experience working with recognized brands and nonprofit organizations
Professional development in leadership, teamwork, and goal setting
Mentorship from experienced sales and business leaders
A clearer understanding of business development and campaign strategy
Improved confidence in presentations, networking, and interpersonal communication
Resume-building experience that supports future career opportunities
The opportunity to progress into longer-term or full-time positions based on performance

Internship Development & Learning

This internship provides structured exposure to:

Business development and customer acquisition
B2B and B2C communication strategies
Donor engagement and fundraising campaigns
Leadership and team collaboration
Sales psychology and customer engagement
Performance tracking and goal setting
Coaching, mentorship, and professional development
Career progression opportunities within a growing organization

Who They’re Looking For

Boomerang is looking for motivated, outgoing, and career-driven individuals who are eager to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates include:

Students, graduates, or individuals seeking professional experience
Strong communicators with a positive attitude
People who enjoy working with others and interacting face-to-face
Individuals who are coachable, driven, and motivated by growth
Candidates looking to build confidence and transferable skills
Those interested in sales, marketing, fundraising, customer engagement, or business development
No previous experience required - full training provided

What’s Offered

Paid internship opportunity
Weekly pay structure with performance incentives
Hands-on business and campaign experience
Ongoing training and mentorship
Real progression opportunities based on performance
Supportive, team-oriented culture
Opportunity to work across both retail and charity campaigns
Fast-paced environment with daily development opportunities

Why Join Boomerang?

Boomerang focuses on developing people through practical experience, mentorship, and performance-based progression. Rather than placing interns behind a desk, the team believes in giving individuals direct exposure to customer interaction, campaign execution, and professional development from the beginning.

For anyone looking to gain valuable experience, build professional confidence, and work within an ambitious and energetic environment, this Sales Intern opportunity offers an exciting next step.
