Bring your machining experience to a shop where craftsmanship matters.

Sicom Industries is hiring experienced CNC Machinists with backgrounds in milling, turning, or both. If you enjoy varied work, complex components, and solving machining challenges, we’d like to hear from you.

You’ll manufacture precision components for aerospace, defence, subsea, mining, and other demanding industries. Your experience will be valued, your ideas welcomed, and your skills put to work on projects that require care, accuracy, and sound judgment.

What We Offer

  • $38.00–$45.00 per hour, based on your experience and skills
  • A weekday schedule, typically 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits
  • Stable, long-term employment
  • Challenging projects and opportunities to develop your machining skills
  • A collaborative team that respects your experience
  • Opportunities for growth within Sicom and the Boundary Group of Companies

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate CNC milling and/or turning equipment
  • Machine precision components to drawing specifications and tight tolerances
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
  • Select tooling, make offsets and minor program adjustments, and troubleshoot machining issues
  • Check your work using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Work with Quality and Engineering to resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Contribute ideas to improve machining processes, quality, and efficiency
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace

What You Bring

  • Experience independently setting up and operating CNC mills, CNC lathes, or both
  • Red Seal Machinist certification or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience producing precision components to tight tolerances
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T
  • Confidence using precision measuring equipment
  • Practical problem-solving skills and pride in the quality of your work
  • The ability to work independently and collaborate with others

Experience in either milling or turning is welcome - you do not need both to apply.

Additional Experience We Value

The following would be assets, but are not required:

  • Five-axis or multi-axis machining
  • Mastercam or other CAM software
  • Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar CNC controls
  • Prototype or low-volume, high-mix manufacturing
