Build Your Career in the Mining Industry.
Some of the largest mining equipment in the world relies on the right parts, the right information, and the right people behind the scenes to keep it moving.
At
Boundary Equipment, part of the
Boundary Group of Companies, we manufacture and supply high-quality replacement parts, components, attachments, and engineered solutions for heavy mobile mining equipment operating across Canada and around the world.
We're looking for an
Inside Sales Specialist to join our Edmonton team.
This is an opportunity to build a career at the intersection of
sales, supply chain, customer service, purchasing, inventory, and technical products.
You might already have experience supporting customers in an industrial or technical environment. Or, you might be a recent
Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Commerce graduate looking for an opportunity to turn what you've learned into real-world experience.
Either way, we're looking for someone who is
curious, organized, commercially minded, and motivated to learn.
You don't need to know every mining component on day one. We'll help you build that knowledge.
What You'll Do
You'll become an important link between our customers and our internal Sales, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Finance teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accurate customer quotations, proposals, and sales documentation
- Processing and coordinating customer purchase orders, vendor purchase orders, and related documentation
- Working with customers to understand their requirements and help identify the right parts and solutions
- Supporting the sales team with pricing, product information, order status, customer requirements, and follow-up
- Developing strong technical and parts knowledge across key Boundary product lines
- Working with vendors and suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, lead times, and purchasing requirements
- Monitoring inventory and stock requirements to support customer demand while helping minimize obsolete inventory
- Supporting customer contracts, recurring orders, and anticipated inventory requirements
- Coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and Sales to keep customer orders moving
- Maintaining accurate customer, order, and product information within our ERP and internal systems
- Preparing sales and operational reports as required
- Responding to customer questions and concerns with urgency, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Ensuring paperwork and information flow accurately and efficiently between customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and the overall customer experience
- Stepping in where needed and contributing to the success of the broader Boundary team
What You'll Bring
There isn't one perfect background for this role.
We're interested in both
experienced candidates and high-potential recent graduates who want to build a career in the mining and heavy-equipment industry.
You may be a strong fit if you have:
- A diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Commerce, or a related field, or relevant experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, purchasing, parts, order management, or a similar role
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work
- Confidence asking questions, investigating issues, and finding answers
- A practical and resourceful approach to problem-solving
- The ability and interest to learn technical products, terminology, and applications
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- The ability to work independently while knowing when to involve others
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to help wherever needed
Experience in
mining, manufacturing, industrial equipment, construction, automotive, agriculture, heavy equipment, parts, or another technical environment is an asset, but it is not required.
Experience working with an
ERP system is also an asset. Experience with
Infor VISUAL would be considered an additional advantage.
Early in Your Career? We Want to Hear From You.
You may not have worked in mining before.
You may not know the difference between every component on a haul truck or excavator yet.
That's okay.
If you've recently completed a program in
Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Commerce, or a related discipline and you're looking for an opportunity to build meaningful commercial and technical experience, we encourage you to apply.
At Boundary, you'll gain exposure to
sales, supply chain, purchasing, inventory, engineering, manufacturing, customers, and vendors while developing knowledge of an industry that operates on a global scale.
We'll provide the opportunity to learn.
You bring the
curiosity, initiative, accountability, and drive to make the most of it.
Who Will Thrive Here
We're looking for someone who:
- Takes ownership and follows things through
- Notices the details others might miss
- Enjoys solving problems instead of simply passing them along
- Builds trust by doing what they say they'll do
- Is comfortable working with numbers, systems, products, and people
- Wants to understand the why behind a customer's request
- Is naturally curious about how products and equipment work
- Can shift between customer service, sales support, purchasing, inventory, and technical conversations
- Enjoys working as part of a team where people pitch in and support one another
- Wants more than their next job - they want an opportunity to learn, develop, and build a career
