As part of the growth of our Structural team in Longueuil, we are seeking a
Building Structural Designer to contribute to the delivery of a variety of building structural projects.
Reporting to
Yvonick Houde, Director, Structural, you will participate in building assessments, diagnostics, structural investigations, rehabilitation, and asset management assignments for existing buildings. You will also contribute to design projects in the institutional, commercial, residential, cultural, and office sectors.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and coordination of building structural projects.
- Perform structural analyses and contribute to the preparation of plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
- Conduct surveys and inspections of existing buildings as part of assessment, rehabilitation, and asset management mandates.
- Collaborate with clients and various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and participate in site visits as required.
- Support engineers and project managers in the execution of project mandates.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in structures or a strong interest in structural engineering.
Experience
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Recent graduates and Engineers-in-Training (EITs) are encouraged to apply.
- Internship experience in building structural engineering is considered an asset.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of structural design principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, or similar software is considered an asset.

- Bilingualism (French and English) *
- Proficiency in English is required to support our Canada-wide operations and collaborate with our teams and clients across other provinces.
