Original job description

BPA is more than an engineering firm - it’s a passionate team shaping the buildings and infrastructure of tomorrow. With offices across Canada, our expertise in sustainable design and technical innovation drives impactful projects from coast to coast. Joining BPA means putting your talent to work on meaningful projects, collaborating with recognized experts, and growing in a flexible, people-focused and forward-thinking environment.

The words that win projects

Behind every major project BPA wins, there’s a proposal that made the case. Do you have a strong pen, love structuring information and thrive on deadlines? This role is for you.

BPA is much more than an engineering firm. We are a passionate team shaping the buildings and infrastructure of tomorrow, from coast to coast. When you join us, you become the voice of our expertise and contribute directly to the firm’s growth.

Your role

You turn our engineers’ know-how into clear, compelling, winning proposals. You work hand in hand with senior leadership, technical teams and project managers. Together, you build the strategy that sets BPA apart.

Your day-to-day impact

Break down RFPs and requests for proposals to pinpoint what will make the difference.
Lead proposal preparation, from the kickoff meeting through to submission.
Shape the winning strategy with a member of senior leadership: project team, relevant experience and methodology.
Write and polish persuasive content: project sheets, CVs, project approaches and company profiles.
Manage timelines so every proposal is submitted on time, with no compromise on quality.
Deliver polished documents, from layout through to final assembly.
Coordinate the delivery and submission of proposals.
Keep our proposal database up to date as the living record of our successes.

What You Bring

A college diploma or university degree in a relevant field.
About 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in consulting engineering, architecture or construction is a strong asset.
Strong writing skills in French and English, with an excellent eye for editing.*
Excellent command of Word, plus good knowledge of Excel and InDesign.
Rigour, attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
Autonomy, initiative and a team spirit.
English proficiency is required to support our Canada-wide operations and our collaboration with teams and clients in other provinces.

Why BPA?

A strategic, visible role: you work directly with senior leadership and contribute concretely to the projects we win.
Large-scale projects across Canada: healthcare, institutional, commercial, data centres and more.
A flexible, people-first workplace where work-life balance truly matters.
A team that recognizes great work, because a winning proposal deserves to be celebrated!
Opportunities to learn and grow in an expanding firm.

Build your career with us and enjoy…

A culture built on collaboration, knowledge sharing, talent development, and the quality of our work.
A 37.5-hour workweek with flexible scheduling and the possibility of finishing at noon on Fridays.
A hybrid work policy that promotes balance between professional and personal life.
Overtime hours that are recognized and compensated, either through time off in lieu or paid compensation.
A competitive total compensation package, including a market-driven salary, a comprehensive group insurance plan, and an RRSP program with employer contributions.
A structured training and professional development program supported by UniversiT, our internal entity dedicated to the technical and personal growth of every employee.
A structured Mentorship Program that connects early-career professionals with experienced mentors to kick-start your BPA career.
Cutting-edge technology, including BIM and modern collaborative tools.
The “Finding Balance” program, which promotes overall well-being, mental health, and sustainable productivity.

We are committed to the principles of employment equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility across all our offices in Canada. We encourage applications from women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in any stage of the selection process.

Thank you for your interest in joining our team. Please note that only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the Talent team.
