Original job description

Shape the future of talent at BPA.

At BPA, we believe great companies are built by exceptional people.

We're looking for a Talent Business Partner who is passionate about building relationships, influencing hiring decisions, and developing innovative talent acquisition strategies that drive business growth.

This is more than a recruitment role - it's an opportunity to become a trusted advisor to business leaders across Canada, helping them attract, engage and hire the talent that will shape the future of our organization.

This position can be based in any of our offices in Laval, Longueuil, Québec City or Ottawa, depending on the successful candidate's location. Through our hybrid work model, you'll collaborate with leaders and colleagues across Canada while enjoying flexibility and autonomy.

Why join BPA?

At BPA, Talent Acquisition is a strategic business function.

Every year, we hire nearly 250 professionals across multiple engineering disciplines to support our continued growth throughout Canada. Our Talent team partners directly with leaders to solve complex hiring challenges, develop proactive recruitment strategies and strengthen our employer brand.

You'll also work alongside a multidisciplinary HR team that includes our Vice President, HR Business Partners, Business Analyst, HR Coordinators and Senior Health & Safety Advisor.

What You'll Do

As a Talent Business Partner, you'll act as a strategic advisor to business leaders across multiple regions in Canada.

You'll help shape hiring strategies, identify exceptional talent and deliver an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Partnering with business leaders to understand workforce needs and develop strategic hiring plans.
Leading the full recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning through offer acceptance.
Designing and executing proactive sourcing and executive search strategies for specialized and hard-to-fill positions.
Building and maintaining strong talent pipelines across multiple disciplines and regions.
Providing labour market intelligence and strategic hiring recommendations to leaders.
Collaborating closely with HR Business Partners and HR Centres of Excellence to deliver an integrated employee experience.
Supporting employer branding initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Leveraging recruitment metrics and market insights to optimize hiring strategies.

You'll thrive in this role if you...

Enjoy solving complex hiring challenges.
Build trusted relationships with leaders and stakeholders.
Prefer proactively identifying and engaging talent rather than waiting for applications.
Think strategically while delivering operational excellence.
Are naturally curious, resourceful and driven by results.
Want to make a measurable impact within a growing national organization.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (CHRP designation is considered an asset).
5–7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Executive Search or Strategic Recruitment.
Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written.*
Experience supporting multiple business units or geographically dispersed teams.
Demonstrated expertise in proactive sourcing, headhunting and relationship management.
Strong business acumen with the ability to influence and advise leaders.
Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms and other recruitment technologies.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in English and French is required to support our Canada-wide operations and collaboration with our teams and clients across other provinces.

What BPA Offers

A strategic role with direct impact on the organization's growth.
National recruitment mandates supporting multiple engineering disciplines.
An experienced, collaborative and high-performing Talent team.
A flexible hybrid work environment built on trust and autonomy.
Shortened Friday afternoons to promote work-life balance.
Opportunities to contribute to strategic HR initiatives beyond recruitment.
Professional development and career growth opportunities.
A people-first culture where collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.

We are committed to the principles of employment equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility across all our offices in Canada. We encourage applications from women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in any stage of the selection process.

Thank you for your interest in joining our team. Please note that only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the Talent team.
