Original job description

Bradford Jacobs has partnered with a newly independent technology and industrial group headquartered in Toronto.

The group is developing and commercialising innovative products across technology and robotics, alongside strategic investments within the technology sector. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, senior leadership team at an early stage and play a central role in building the organisation through its first phase of growth.

This is an opportunity to shape two emerging industrial technology businesses - and the company behind them.

Our client is looking for a marketing leader who enjoys building from scratch. You'll define positioning, create demand, oversee creative execution, and establish a corporate brand that supports long-term growth and public market ambitions.

You'll lead a small, talented creative team while directing an offshore web development pod to deliver digital experiences that would typically be outsourced to agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Own brand strategy, market positioning and go-to-market planning for the company's product lines and corporate brand.
Lead creative and content execution across product marketing, corporate web properties, investor relations materials, blogs, videos and product launches, managing copywriters and designers.
Conduct market research and analyse industry trends, customer insights and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
Partner with sales and product teams to develop compelling messaging, integrated campaigns and go-to-market strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
Lead digital marketing and demand generation across social media, email, paid channels and other relevant platforms to generate qualified pipeline for sales.
Manage the offshore development pod's priorities and build queue across corporate, product and investor relations websites, campaign landing pages and related digital initiatives, coordinating delivery across a 9–10-hour time difference.
Own the marketing budget, monitor campaign performance and optimise channel investment to maximise ROI and demonstrate marketing effectiveness.
Plan and support industry events, trade shows and webinars to strengthen brand visibility, engage target audiences and generate business opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

B2B product marketing experience with technical products.
Proven experience managing creative teams and remote/offshore production across multiple time zones.
Hands-on marketer equally comfortable developing strategy, refining copy, and reviewing creative layouts.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years’ marketing experience, ideally in technology or drone-related industries.
Strong track record in digital marketing, brand management, and campaign performance.
Solid understanding of SEO, SEM, and social media strategy.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation platforms, such as HubSpot or Salesforce.

Why Join?

This role offers genuine ownership. You'll help define how the market sees our products and our company while building an in-house marketing function with broad responsibility across brand, digital, product marketing and demand generation.

If you enjoy creating strategy, leading creative teams and bringing new technologies to market, we'd like to hear from you.

Compensation

Base salary: CAD $78,000–$98,000
Stock option grant
