Role profile description:
Client is building an Enterprise Digital Strategy team to create simpler, more connected and intelligent experiences for our customers and the people who support them. We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst who can turn customer and business needs into practical solutions that teams can build, operate and improve. You will work across product, design, architecture, engineering, data, AI, security and operations.Your role is to connect the end-to-end customer experience to the processes, data, systems and controls behind it - helping teams deliver measurable value rather than isolated features. You will thrive in this role if you are equally comfortable facilitating a business conversation, mapping a complex journey and working with technical teams to make a solution clear, testable and delivery ready.
What you will do
- Build a shared understanding of customer needs, business outcomes and measures of success through discovery, journey mapping and collaborative workshops.
- Translate strategic priorities and experience designs into a focused backlog of capabilities, features, user stories, acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements.
- Create clear traceability from the intended outcome through requirements, solution decisions, testing, release and post-launch results.
- Connect each digital journey to the processes, business rules, data, integrations, reusable services and systems required to deliver it.
- Partner with architects and engineers to define solution boundaries, reuse opportunities, integration approaches and build-versus-buy considerations.
- Create practical artifacts - such as process and sequence diagrams, data mappings, decision tables, interface requirements and error scenarios - that enable teams to design, build and test with confidence.
- Define clear requirements for APIs, events, identity and access, privacy, consent, accessibility, performance, reliability, security and observability.
- Surface assumptions, dependencies, risks and unresolved decisions early, and help the right stakeholders reach timely, well-informed decisions.
- Keep work outcome-led, testable and ready for delivery while managing dependencies across journey teams, shared platforms, data and core systems.
- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, architecture, data, quality engineering, security, risk, operations and external partners from discovery through launch.
- Support test planning, business acceptance, release readiness and operational transition so that solutions work as intended and can be supported effectively.
- Define the data and instrumentation needed to measure adoption, journey completion, service demand, customer outcomes and platform health.
- Use production evidence and feedback to recommend improvements, resolve root causes and inform the next iteration.
- For AI-enabled experiences, help define human oversight, evaluation, explainability, monitoring, auditability and appropriate safeguards.
- Maintain clear evidence of requirements, decisions, controls and accepted trade offs.
- Challenge unnecessary duplication and point solutions, helping teams create reusable capabilities that make future journeys faster to deliver.
How you work
- You put the customer outcome first while balancing enterprise value, feasibility, risk and operational needs.
- You are comfortable creating structure in ambiguous situations and can move a group from competing perspectives to a clear decision.
- You collaborate openly, invite diverse expertise and challenge assumptions constructively.
- You are curious about emerging technology without losing sight of adoption, controls, maintainability and measurable value.
- You communicate with precision and can adjust the level of detail for executives, business partners and technical
