Original job description

About BrainRidge

BrainRidge Consulting is a premium FinTech Technology Consulting firm with the energy of a startup and experience of an enterprise. With a mission to empower financial institutions and organizations to thrive in the digital age, we provide cutting-edge technology solutions and strategic guidance to drive innovation and growth. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Mobile Developer.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to serve as a technical lead within our mobile engineering team. The Senior Mobile Developer will own end-to-end delivery of complex mobile features and mentor other developers. This role combines deep hands-on expertise with architectural thinking and ownership of app quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of advanced features for iOS. and/or Android apps, from concept to production release.
Define and advocate for mobile architecture, coding standards, and best practices across the team.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and back-end teams to shape solutions, estimate work, and reduce delivery risk.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and security, including offline behaviour and error handling.
Review code, guide refactoring efforts, and mentor intermediate and junior developers.
Own complex integrations, including payments, analytics, push notifications, third-party SDKs, and platform services.
Contribute to roadmaps, technical spikes, and proofs of concept for new mobile capabilities or frameworks.
Help improve build pipelines, automated testing, and release management for faster, safer deployments.

Qualifications

5 to 8+ years of professional mobile development experience, with multiple shipped apps in production.
Expert-level proficiency in at least one native platform (Swift/SwiftUI for iOS or Kotlin/Jetpack for Android).
Cross-platform experience with React Native or Flutter is a strong plus.
Proven experience designing mobile architectures, modular codebases, and reusable components.
Deep understanding of platform guidelines, performance tuning, memory management, and security best practices.
Experience with CI/CD for mobile, such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions.
Strong track record of technical leadership, including mentoring, conducting code reviews, and driving engineering improvements.
Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with stakeholders across product, design, and QA.

Our Commitment

At BrainRidge Consulting, we value and prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion. We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace leads to a more innovative and productive team. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to providing a safe, fair, and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and respected. If you require accommodations during the hiring process, please let us know.
