Floral Merchandiser (Independent Contractor)
Floral Shop ongoing and Poinsettia & Outdoor Seasonal Contract
Job Status: Open Position
About the Position
We are currently looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Seasonal Floral Merchandiser in Vaughan. To support our Poinsettia and Outdoor Floral Programs at 2 retail location throughout the holiday season for 10 - 20 hours per week on weekdays!
Job Overview
As a Seasonal Floral Merchandiser, you will be responsible for maintaining poinsettias floral displays refreshing seasonal outdoor holiday floral products. You will work independently at assigned retail locations and ensure displays meet presentation, quality, and merchandising standards.
Program Schedule
Outdoor Program:
- 3 visits per week
- Approximately 30 minutes per visit
- Initial setup: Approximately 3–4 hours
Poinsettia Program:
- 3 visits per week
- Approximately 1–2 hours per visit
Program Duration: Approximately 6–9 weeks between week of October 26th - December 24th Christmas
Ongoing Indoor Program:
- 3 visits per week
- Approximately 1–2 hours per visit
RELIABLE transportation REQUIRED
Starting Rate: $20/HR
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Care: Water and care for flowers and plants according to their specific needs, ensuring they remain healthy and vibrant.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the floral display area tidy and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Pricing: Ensure floral products are correctly priced, with labels clearly visible.
- Call Reports: Submit reports after each store visit, while in store, answering all questions accurately.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of plant care is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and handle floral products and materials.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Reliable transportation to visit multiple store locations.
