- Treat the diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients
- Manipulate or apply pressure to various parts of the body, hands and feet
- Provide other alternative forms of health care to patients
- Treat patients by the insertion of acupuncture needles or through stimulation techniques

Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat patients' physiological disorders, diseases, and injuries using acupuncture and other alternative health care approaches. Insert acupuncture needles, use stimulation techniques, and apply pressure or manipulation to parts of the body, hands, and feet.
Requirements
Requires a college or CEGEP education, or equivalent experience, in acupuncture and oriental medicine, along with 2 to less than 3 years of experience. Candidates must be registered with the appropriate provincial or territorial authority for acupuncturists; a criminal record check is also required.
