We are looking for an Summer Research Associate to join our Agriculture Solutions team in Winkler or Mordern, MB.

Contract Duration: 4 months (Summer 2027)

Location: Winkler, MB or Mordern, MB.

Wage: $25 - $32 / Hour

During peak periods in the season, overtime will be paid for evenings or weekends.

As a Summer Research Associate, you create chemistry by...

Supporting the research program and helping develop agricultural solutions for Canadian growers.
You will be involved in and assist with all aspects of the crop protection research program at the BASF Manitoba Research Farm.
Activities to include planning/preparation, seeding, spraying, evaluating/collecting data as well as maintenance and tour preparation for the site.
Experience will be gained with a diverse array of crops across all crop protection indications including fungicides, herbicides, seed treatments, insecticides and biologicals.

If you have...

Current enrollment in an agriculture or related degree program. (e.g. environmental science, biology, agronomy, soil science, etc.) or agriculture diploma program.
High level of enthusiasm and strong commitment to gain experience in field research and the agricultural industry.
Demonstrated leadership skills & academic achievement.
An understanding of agricultural practices and farm equipment is an asset.
Valid Driver‘s License.

Responsibilities

Support the agricultural research program at BASF’s Manitoba Research Farm, assisting with planning, preparation, seeding, spraying, crop evaluation, and data collection. Help maintain the research site and prepare for tours while gaining experience across crop protection areas, including fungicides, herbicides, seed treatments, insecticides, and biologicals.

Requirements

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an agriculture-related degree or diploma program, such as environmental science, biology, agronomy, or soil science.
