Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Operating Room, PACU and Day Surgery, the successful applicant will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care in the perioperative program and must meet the following criteria:

Education Requirements

Graduate of an accredited college nursing program
Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Mandatory Qualifications

Current two (2) years experience in a Surgical or Day Surgery setting
IV Certification

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care within the perioperative program, including the Day Surgery setting. Work independently and collaboratively with the interprofessional team to support patients and maintain high-quality care.

Requirements

Applicants must graduate from an accredited college nursing program, be registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, hold current BCLS certification, and have IV certification. At least two years of experience in a surgical or day surgery setting is required; RPNAO membership and demonstrated patient assessment and care-planning competence are preferred.
