Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, bread, and other confections, following established recipes and quality standards
• Decorate cakes and desserts with intricate designs, themes, and personalized touches using various techniques and tools
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling baked items for service or display
• Package baked goods securely for retail sale or catering orders, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
• Maintain inventory of baking supplies, ingredients, and decorating materials; notify management of stock needs
• Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and accommodating special requests when possible

Experience

• Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or a related culinary role within a restaurant or bakery setting
• Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and decorating processes
• Knowledge of the food industry’s best practices for hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
• Previous experience in customer service is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for engaging with customers is essential

Pay: $19-$23 per hour

Expected hours: (Full-Time) 30-40 per week
