About Brickeye

Brickeye leverages the power of data from construction to drive risk mitigation and productivity gains. We are a fast-growing construction technology company developing the world’s most advanced IoT-based risk mitigation platform for water damage mitigation, concrete quality / defect control, and real-time site intelligence. We protect construction projects from avoidable loss, reduce the total cost of risk, and help asset owners, general contractors, and insurers deliver projects on time and on budget.

The Challenge

As Brickeye grows, so does the work of running the business behind the mission. Our teams move fast. When everyday operations run smoothly, they can stay focused on what matters most: protecting construction projects from avoidable loss. When things slip through the cracks, momentum slows and focus gets sidelined from what’s most critical.

The Office & Operations Coordinator keeps Brickeye running. You’ll own the day-to-day of our office and support the finance, people or marketing team as needed. This isn’t a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. It’s for a natural problem-solver who sees what needs fixing, takes ownership and leaves things better than they found them. If you like being the person everyone relies on, you’ll thrive here.

🧭 Core Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day office operations, including facilities, supplies, equipment, building management and vendor relationships, so the workplace is organized, welcoming and ready for work

  • Support the finance team as needed with tasks like invoice processing and customer communication, expense tracking, accounts payable (AP), purchase orders, communication with our vendors, and document collection

  • Partner with the people team on onboarding and offboarding logistics, employee records, benefits admin and other needs as they come up

  • Manage office budgets, purchasing and service providers, always looking for better ways to get things done

  • Assist marketing with events, branded materials and projects when extra hands are needed

  • Become a cornerstone of the Company's culture and help Plan team events, all-hands, offsites, leadership meetings and visits from customers and partners

  • Build and improve processes, checklists and shared systems so recurring work runs smoothly and doesn’t depend on any one person’s memory

  • Serve as the go-to person for operational questions, triaging requests from across the company and either solving them or routing them to the right owner

⚙️ What You Bring

  • 2+ years in office management, office coordination or operations at a fast-paced company, ideally a startup or growth-stage business

  • Proven ability to juggle competing priorities from several teams at once without letting things slip

  • A solutions-first approach: you come to the table with an answer, or at least options, not just the problem

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with your own reliable systems for tracking tasks, deadlines and follow-ups

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. You build trust with everyone from new hires to leadership to outside vendors

  • Adaptability and a willingness to take on unfamiliar work, figure it out and get it done

  • Confidence with modern office tools (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, spreadsheets, shared drives) and willingness to learn new platforms quickly

  • Exposure to bookkeeping or AP/AR support (for example QuickBooks, Xero or expense tools like Expensify or Ramp)

  • Experience with HR admin or HRIS platforms

  • Experience planning events or supporting marketing projects

🤖 AI-First Mindset

We believe in AI’s power

  • Early Adopter: You actively use AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and others) to unlock new possibilities beyond traditional methods. You are energized by how AI enhances what you can achieve.

  • Productivity Multiplier: You view AI as an essential amplifier of innovation and team efficiency - not a substitute for critical thinking or strategic judgment.

🏗️ Why Brickeye

High-Impact Mission & Technology

  • Solve a Global Problem: Work on a proprietary platform leveraging construction IoT to directly tackle the $1.5 trillion in annual risk and loss in the built environment.

  • Real-World Impact: See your products and innovation immediately translated into tangible results: boosting productivity and mitigating risk across major global construction projects, including in North America, the Middle East, Australia, and Latin America.

  • The Next Challenge: Shape the future of our platform's evolution, from next-generation sensor designs to scalable enterprise SaaS features.

Culture & Career Mastery

  • Impact Over Hierarchy: Thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven culture where the best ideas win, not the loudest titles. We value decisive action and ownership.

  • High Autonomy: We trust our experts. You will have a high degree of autonomy to own projects from concept through deployment, directly contributing to our growth.

  • World-Class Team: Learn and grow alongside a team of domain experts who are dedicated to mutual success and professional excellence.

Rewards & Flexibility

  • Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive base salary, and annual performance incentives.

  • Be an Owner: A robust equity package, making you an owner of Brickeye so that you can share in our success.

  • Flexible Work Environment: Enjoy a truly flexible work environment that prioritizes delivery and results over rigid clock-watching. We don't mind if you need to run to a mid-day appointment or pick up your kid early from school.

  • Health Benefits: Competitive medical, and dental benefits.

Salary Range
$50,000 - $70,000 per year CAD
Where you land depends on your experience and what you bring to the table. If you’re a strong fit but your expectations sit outside this range, we’d still like to hear from you.

At Brickeye, people make our hiring decisions - every application selected is personally reviewed by our team. We do use AI tools to assist in screening applications as part of that process.

This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Brickeye is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
