The company offers a wide range of compressor packages available for sale, rental, and lease, serving diverse client needs in the energy sector. Brittania focuses on delivering reliable, efficient equipment solutions tailored to field and facility requirements. Team members work in a hands-on environment with exposure to fabrication processes, mechanical systems, and project-based work for industrial applications.

Role Description The Junior/Intermediate Draftsperson is a full-time, on-site role based in Leduc, AB. This role is responsible for preparing detailed drawings and 3D models for natural gas compression packages, including mechanical layouts, piping, structural supports, and general arrangement drawings. Day-to-day tasks include updating drawings based on engineering input, assisting with revisions to existing designs, and ensuring all drawings meet company standards and industry codes. The Draftsperson will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to clarify design requirements, resolve drawing issues, and support fabrication and assembly activities. The role also involves maintaining organized drawing files, contributing to continuous improvement of drafting standards, and supporting documentation for projects and quality control.

Qualifications

Proficiency in CAD drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and ability to produce clear mechanical and piping drawings.
Understanding of basic mechanical design principles, industrial equipment layouts, and fabrication practices relevant to compression packages.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in dimensions and annotations, and consistency in applying drawing standards.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with engineering, production, and project teams, and for interpreting technical information.
Ability to manage multiple drawing assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Diploma in Engineering Design Technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
Familiarity with natural gas compression equipment or oil and gas industry projects is an asset.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
