We’re looking for a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator who is passionate, detail-oriented, and proactive to help ensure the well-being of our teams across job sites. Working closely with the HSE Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture across our sites. You'll implement safety protocols, conduct training, and serve as the main point of contact for all health and safety matters.

As a HSE Coordinator, you will assist in the development and build of remarkable buildings, fostering enduring relationships with our people, partners, and clients while maintaining the Broccolini core values, One Team, One Dream, Caring at our Core, Powered by Passion and We Make it Happen.

Vacancy Status: Current Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and forecast the project’s General Conditions budget, including commitments, actual costs, and cost-to-complete.
Review and validate invoices, labour costs, and supplier charges for accuracy, proper coding, supporting documentation, and contract compliance.
Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, variance analysis, and cash-flow updates for the project team and leadership.
Identify cost trends and variances early and work with the project team to develop corrective actions.
Support the procurement of General Conditions items, including temporary facilities, equipment rentals, site services, security, cleaning, and winter services.
Prepare RFQs, bid comparisons, purchase orders, and supplier documentation in accordance with Broccolini and project requirements.
Track commitments, deliveries, rental periods, renewals, and purchase order close-outs.
Support Owner billing, cost reporting, reconciliations, and audit requirements by maintaining accurate and organized documentation.
Coordinate with Accounting on accounts payable, accruals, month-end activities, and cost coding.
Support the project team with cost tracking related to changes, delays, and schedule extensions.
Maintain accurate cost data and ensure consistency between project and accounting systems.
Document and standardize cost control processes, tools, templates, and reporting for future Broccolini projects.
Develop dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools to improve visibility into project costs, cash flow, and performance.
Identify opportunities to simplify or automate financial and administrative processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in accounting, financial control, project accounting, or a similar role, preferably in construction or a project-based environment.
Knowledge of job costing, budget-versus-actual analysis, committed costs, cost-to-complete, and forecasting.
Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, month-end processes, and cash-flow forecasting.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI is an asset.
Experience with Procore, construction management software, or accounting systems is an asset.
Experience with procurement, supplier management, process documentation, or workflow improvement is an asset.
CPA designation or progress toward a CPA is an asset.

Ability to analyze financial information and translate it into clear, actionable insights for project teams and leadership.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Comfortable questioning incomplete information and following up to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Strong communication and supplier-management skills.
Interest in technology, automation, and continuous improvement.
Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
English required; French is an asset.

Level of Accountability

Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of GC cost data and reporting.
Reviews and recommends costs and procurement activities for approval in accordance with Broccolini’s approval matrix.
Does not have independent spending or award authority.
May place invoices on hold when coding, documentation, or contract requirements are incomplete.
Handles confidential financial and contractual information with discretion.
