Project Director Opportuntiy
A Project Director at Broccolini will lead project teams and own delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. As the senior day-to-day lead and primary client relationship on your projects, you will deliver results in health & safety, quality, schedule, financial performance, and client satisfaction, while building high-performing, accountable teams aligned with Broccolini's values.
Vacancy Status: Current Opportunity
What you will do as a Project Director:
- Team leadership: Provide clear direction to project teams on priorities, standards, and expectations. Model Broccolini's values and the leadership behaviours expected at a Director level, and stay calm and steady in high-pressure situations.
- Structure and accountability: Structure teams effectively, define roles clearly, and ensure team members are prepared for each project phase (preconstruction, execution, closeout). Hold regular 1:1s with documented follow-ups and drive KPI discipline across cost reports, schedules, procurement logs, and HSE compliance.
- Preconstruction and planning: Lead the team through the preconstruction process. Ensure budgets, schedules, logistics, procurement plans, and risk mitigation plans are complete before mobilization, validate estimating assumptions, and lead design reviews with consultants and clients to eliminate constructability issues.
- Risk management: Develop a risk mitigation plan early, with tracking and clear ownership, and anticipate the impact of design, procurement, and coordination issues.
- Safety leadership: Champion COR-level safety, hold the team accountable for documentation, intervene when unsafe conditions or behaviours are observed, and plan proactively for high-risk work.
- Quality: Ensure quality control plans are implemented and monitored, push for strong coordination (mock-ups, pre-installation meetings, inspections), and deliver complete, organized turnovers with no legacy issues.
- Schedule: Oversee schedule creation, logic, critical path, and updates, hold PMs accountable to recovery plans when behind, and work with trades to remove constraints.
- Financial performance and closeout: Own project P&L and accurate forecasting, ensure timely billing and healthy cash flow, oversee claim strategy and contractual compliance, and plan closeout early (O&M manuals, as-builts, warranties, deficiency management).
- Client relationships: Serve as the senior day-to-day relationship lead for your clients, build strong working relationships with client PMs, consultants, and stakeholders, maintain structured communication, and handle difficult conversations proactively. Coach PMs on tone, expectation-setting, and issue framing.
- Business development: Support pursuit strategies and major proposals with project delivery expertise, share client intelligence on priorities, budget sensitivity, and risk tolerance, join client interviews and pitches, and represent Broccolini professionally across the industry.
- Talent development and collaboration: Provide stretch assignments and structured feedback, support career growth, and collaborate across estimating, real estate, finance, HSE, and corporate services.
What You Will Bring:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction project management
- Proven delivery of large-scale projects ($100 Million +) on schedule, on budget, and to quality and safety standards
- Strong command of preconstruction, procurement, risk management, cost control, and scheduling
- Demonstrated commitment to a COR-level safety culture
- Solid knowledge of contract administration, change management, and claims

- Excellent communication and relationship skills with clients, consultants, and senior leadership
