Come join our growing team and enjoy an environment that allows you to be challenged through every project.

Project Director, Mission Critical Opportunity

A Project Director, Mission Critical leads project delivery across assigned markets, from pre-construction through commissioning and operational handover. You are the technical and commercial lead clients trust to build.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role. You will lead project teams, shape our mission-critical delivery standards, and help build a high-performing construction group from the ground up. You will work closely with our business development and development teams, and with specialist engineering partners and consultants.

Vacancy Status: Current Opportunity

What you will do as a Project Director, Mission Critical:

Delivery leadership

  • Own cost, schedule, quality, safety and client satisfaction on all mission-critical projects.
  • Lead pre-construction scoping on new opportunities: delivery approach, risk, budget and schedule, in close coordination with business development.
  • Deliver against each client’s milestone framework, from pre-construction start through early access, commissioning handoff and close-out, with disciplined schedule and risk governance.
  • Direct project teams through construction and MEP integration and lead the path through commissioning (all Levels) to turnover, so that systems are energized safely, proven and handed to the client’s operations team ready to run.
  • Run delivery governance: project reviews, forecasting, change management, risk and escalation.

Live environment delivery

  • Lead construction in and next to live, operating facilities, where one error can interrupt client operations.
  • Own the planning of phased work and system transitions so that construction proceeds without reducing the availability or resilience of the client’s operating systems.

Safety, security, quality and compliance

  • Promote a strong safety culture aligned with Broccolini’s safety standards while maintaining compliance with client-specific safety requirements.
  • Lead OFCI equipment and vendor coordination, aligning procurement, logistics, installation, and commissioning activities with project schedules, technical requirements, and client expectations.
  • Drive proactive quality control through verification of completed work before handover and timely resolution of deficiencies in accordance with client expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with client-specific digital, data management, sustainability, and environmental requirements throughout project execution.

Client engagement

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client infrastructure teams, including enterprise operators and hyperscalers, throughout project execution.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives through site assessments, technical evaluations, and constructability expertise to support project opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with design consultants, specialized trade partners, equipment vendors, utility providers, and commissioning agents to drive alignment, collaboration, and successful project delivery.

Team and capability building

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing construction team, establishing the talent, leadership capacity, and organizational structure required to support a growing portfolio of mission-critical projects.
  • Establish and continuously improve standardized mission-critical project delivery practices, including execution frameworks, procurement strategies, and commissioning protocols.
  • Drive consistency, knowledge sharing, and operational alignment across Broccolini markets to establish a unified  mission-critical construction practice.
  • Anticipate emerging technologies and develop the organizational expertise and capabilities required to adapt to evolving client needs and project requirements.

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum 12 years of construction experience, including direct involvement in mission-critical projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership in delivering large-scale mission-critical projects of 15 MW or greater, from design development through commissioning and operational handover, with hyperscale experience (40 MW+) considered a strong asset.
  • Proven experience executing construction activities within or adjacent to live, mission-critical facilities while maintaining operational continuity and adhering to strict client protocols.
  • Experience working with diverse client operating models, including enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale, with the ability to adapt to demanding technical and operational standards.
  • Strong technical expertise in power distribution, cooling systems, MEP coordination, long-lead equipment procurement, and commissioning, with the ability to challenge technical solutions and drive constructability improvements.
  • Demonstrated success managing significant project budgets, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering complex projects within established financial and schedule objectives.
  • Proven safety leadership in managing high-risk construction activities while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and stringent client safety standards.
  • Strong commitment to quality management, documentation control, and compliance with client-specific digital platforms, data standards, and project delivery requirements.
  • Experience with construction management and design-assist delivery models, along with exposure to emerging technologies, considered an asset.
  • Collaborative leader who works well alongside business development and development colleagues.
