The PA&A NA Transportation analyst is responsible for analyzing transportation operations, freight spend, carrier performance, shipment execution, and logistics network efficiency to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve service levels. This role serves as the primary resource for transportation analytics, reporting, Transportation management (TM) support, EDI carrier integrations and transaction monitoring (EDI210 & EDI214). The Transportation Analyst is expected to operate as a strategic business partner to Transportation Leadership by providing director-level reporting, insights, and recommendations.
The analyst works closely with Transportation, Logistics, Operations, Finance, IT, our 3rd party billing auditor and carriers to optimize freight operations, improve shipment visibility, enhance transportation processes, and support strategic supply chain initiatives.
The analyst will function as a hands-on individual who will drive transportation analytics excellence within the PA&A vertical at BRP. This position requires a highly analytical and result oriented individual with a deep understanding of the supply chain who fully utilizes both technical skills, data and teamwork to help achieve the departmental goals and objectives.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Analyze transportation network performance, freight spend, and shipment activity to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Monitor transportation KPIs
Prepare and present monthly transportation performance and spend reports for leadership, highlighting key trends, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
Perform lane analysis and mode optimization to reduce transportation costs.
Analyze route efficiency and transportation capacity utilization.
Evaluate carrier performance and recommend corrective actions or improvement opportunities.
Support transportation budgeting, forecasting, and freight cost management initiatives.
Responsible for Data integrity validation and updated transit tables
Support continuous improvement projects related to transportation processes and systems.
Maintain a high standard of presentation quality, ensuring reports are accurate, visually engaging, professionally formatted, and tailored to executive audiences.
Monitor accessorial charges and carrier compliance with contractual agreements.
Transportation management (TM ) support
Support EDI210 and EDI 214.
Develop and maintain transportation process documentation and standard operating procedures.
YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree Administration, Industrial and Data Engineering or related field.
3-5 years of experience as a business analyst, financial analyst or supply chain analyst.
Bilingual (English and French) required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Strong analytical, organized and critical-thinking capabilities focused on process improvement and maximizing systems capabilities.
Strong data analysis skills (Power BI, SQL, advanced Excel, snowflake) to support insights and reporting.
Effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Experience creating transportation reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
Attention to detail and ability to effectively multitask in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
Team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, transformation-driven environment always searching for innovative ideas to increase the top-line (passionate about growth as much as optimizing the costs).
