- Investigate and resolve purchase order, goods receipt, service entry, tax, pricing, coding, approval, supplier master, and workflow discrepancies.
- Analyze transactions that fall outside automated processing and determine the root cause.
- Review and resolve employee expense processing issues and policy exceptions.
- Investigate duplicate invoices, duplicate payments, payment holds, and compliance concerns.
- Monitor AP queues, aging reports, workflow bottlenecks, and payment risks.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Utilize dashboards, reports, and KPIs to identify trends, monitor performance, and drive improvements.
- Identify recurring issues and develop long-term solutions to improve efficiency and prevent future occurrences.
- Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and stronger controls.
- Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Tax, Master Data, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance processes.
- Act as a resource for complex transaction and process-related inquiries.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, employee expense administration, or related financial operations.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle AP processes, financial controls, reconciliations, and exception management.
- Experience with 2-way and 3-way matching, purchase orders, GR/IR processes, and payment controls.
- Experience using SAP, Concur, or similar ERP and expense management systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot automated invoice workflows and processing failures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause investigation skills.
- Ability to interpret reports, dashboards, and KPIs to identify trends and implement solutions.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
What We're Looking For
- A proactive, solutions-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex challenges.
