Introduction

Brunel is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join a large-scale mining construction project currently in the execution phase. This role will be responsible for the administration of complex EPCM, construction, underground development, and specialized mining contracts, working closely with project controls, procurement, construction, legal, and contractor teams to ensure contractual compliance and successful project delivery.

This position is ideally suited to a professional who has extensive experience supporting major capital projects in the mining sector and possesses a strong understanding of underground mine development activities, including shaft sinking.

Responsibilities

Administer and manage a portfolio of high-value construction, mining, and service contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
Interpret and apply contract terms and conditions while ensuring compliance with project requirements and commercial objectives.
Lead contract administration activities including notices, correspondence, change orders, amendments, claims management, and dispute resolution support.
Review and evaluate contractor requests for change, schedule impacts, commercial adjustments, and entitlement claims.
Partner with project controls and commercial teams to monitor contractor performance, costs, commitments, and contractual obligations.
Maintain contract documentation, logs, records, and reporting to ensure audit readiness and contractual governance.
Facilitate contract closeout activities including final account reconciliation, documentation turnover, and lessons learned.
Support risk identification and mitigation related to commercial and contractual matters.
Provide guidance to project stakeholders regarding contractual rights, obligations, and commercial strategy.
Participate in contractor meetings and represent the owner's commercial interests during project execution.
Collaborate closely with procurement, legal, construction, engineering, and project management teams.

Requirements

Minimum 10+ years of Contracts Administration experience supporting large-scale industrial, mining, infrastructure, energy, or heavy construction projects.
Demonstrated experience administering complex, high-value contracts within major capital project environments.
Previous experience supporting contracts associated with: Underground mine development, Mine construction, Heavy civil construction, Earthworks and Mechanical and electrical scope execution
Strong understanding of contract change management, claims administration, risk management, and commercial governance.
Experience working within a project delivery environment involving EPCM contractors, construction contractors, and specialized subcontractors.
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project setting.
