Supply Chain Lead

Location: Calgary, AB

Pay rate range: $165k - $175k/year

Type: Permanent position

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Lead in Calgary. This role will play a key part in developing and executing sourcing and contracting strategies, managing complex supplier relationships, and supporting business operations through effective procurement and contract management practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic supply chain professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute sourcing, procurement, and contracting strategies that support operational and business objectives.
Manage the full competitive bid process, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and implementation.
Partner with internal stakeholders including Operations, Projects, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and other business groups to develop sourcing plans and commercial strategies.
Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a variety of contracts and commercial agreements.
Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, commercial, and supply chain risks throughout the contract lifecycle.
Manage supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure delivery of goods and services.
Oversee contract administration activities, including amendments, change orders, renewals, and dispute resolution.
Analyze spend, supplier performance, and market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities and value improvements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and procurement processes.
Support compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior procurement and supply chain team members.
Maintain accurate procurement and contract documentation to support governance and audit requirements.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, contracts management, or commercial operations.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.
Professional designation such as SCMP, CPSM, PMP, or equivalent is considered an asset.
Proven experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements.
Strong understanding of procurement, contract management, supplier relationship management, and commercial risk mitigation.
Experience supporting large-scale industrial, energy, oil and gas, utilities, infrastructure, or related operations is preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on value creation and operational excellence.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and supply chain/procurement management systems.
