What would my role be?

Reporting to Clinical Manager, as a member of the interdisciplinary team you will deliver safe, effective, patient-centered, ethical and evidence-based nursing care to patients according to scope of practice and in accordance with Bruyère Health policies, procedures and standards and with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards. You will communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients and their loved ones, colleagues and other health discipline members.

How do I qualify?

Required:

Successful completion of RPN medication administration course or equivalent
Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate
Successful completion of the mandatory FIM (Functional Independence Measure) certification provided by the hospital within the established timeline

Preferred:

Rehabilitation Nursing Education / Certification
Experience in rehabilitation
Membership in Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO)
Fluent in French and English

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, ethical, patient-centered, and evidence-based nursing care within the RPN scope of practice and in accordance with organizational policies and College of Nurses of Ontario standards. Communicate effectively with patients, their loved ones, colleagues, and other members of the health care team.

Requirements

Required qualifications include successful completion of an RPN medication administration course or equivalent, valid CNO registration, valid BLS CPR Level C certification, and completion of the hospital's mandatory FIM certification within the established timeline. Rehabilitation nursing education or certification, rehabilitation experience, RPNAO membership, and fluency in French and English are preferred.
