Original job description

Corporate Controller

Our client, a prominent oil field services company headquartered in Calgary, has an immediate need for a new Corporate Controller. This is a hands-on leadership seat where your work shapes the financial direction of the business. You will work directly with the CFO, executive leadership, and lead a finance team committed to continuous improvement.

From month-end close through the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements and MD\&A, you will support management and board reporting, deliver lender reporting, and take ownership of cash forecasting and day-to-day cash management. Leading the corporate finance and accounts payable team, owning intercompany accounting across the US and Canadian entities, coordinating budgeting and forecasting, leading the external audit, and strengthening internal controls and processes round out a seat that is as strategic as it is hands-on.

To succeed, you bring a CPA designation with 5-7 years of post-designation experience and at least 5 years of leadership experience. Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills are essential, backed by a track record of building analytical reports, forecasts and variance analysis. Hands-on ERP experience is key, with NetSuite preferred. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

If you are a collaborative relationship-builder who understands what drives a business and enjoys turning numbers into results, we would like to hear from you.
