Role: Corporate Services Test Lead

An SAP Corporate Services Value Stream Test Lead is responsible for overseeing the testing strategy, execution, and quality assurance across SAP modules that handle core business support functions. In SAP, the & quot; Corporate Services & quot; value stream typically encompasses modules like SAP EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/PM), Real Estate Management (RE-FX), Project Systems (PS), and Travel & Expense Management.
Core Responsibilities
- Test Planning
- Establish the overall testing framework, scope, and defect management processes tailored for SAP Corporate Services.
- Scope Definition: Identify end-to-end business processes within the corporate services value stream that require testing (e.g., Incident Management to Resolution in EHS, or Asset Life Cycle in EAM).
- Resource and Timeline Management: Estimate testing efforts, allocate QA resources, and build realistic testing timelines aligned with deployment waves or sprint cycles.
- Test Design & Execution Oversight
- Business Process Mapping: Collaborate with SAP functional consultants and business analysts to map technical configurations to real-world corporate services scenarios.
- Test Case Development: Oversee the creation of detailed manual and automated test scripts covering Functional, Regression, Integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Data & Environment Coordination: Ensure appropriate mock data (e.g., asset records, cost centers, employee profiles) is available in test environments and coordinate transport movements.
- Integration & End-to-End (E2E) Testing
- Cross-Stream Integration: Validate integration touchpoints where Corporate Services meet other streams, such as Financials (FI/CO), Human Capital
- Management (HCM), and Procurement (MM).
- Third-Party Interface Testing: Oversee the validation of data flowing between SAP and external vendor systems (e.g., third-party travel booking tools or external regulatory compliance databases).
- Defect Management & Reporting
- Triage Meetings: Lead defect triage meetings with functional configurators, developers, and business stakeholders to prioritize and assign bugs.
- Metrics Tracking: Monitor test execution progress, pass/fail rates, and defect trends, providing regular status reports to the Release Manager or Project
- Management Office (PMO).
- UAT & Business Sign-off
- Business Facilitation: Guide business key users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring they understand how to execute tests and log defects. Go/No-Go Advisory: Provide QA sign-off and recommendations regarding system stability prior to cutover and production go-live.Key Technical & Tool Expertise
- SAP Tooling: Deep familiarity with testing tools like SAP Cloud ALM, SAP
- Solution Manager (SolMan), or third-party suites like Tricentis Tosca, Jira, and HP ALM/Quality Center.
- Methodologies: Strong execution capabilities in both Agile/SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and traditional Waterfall delivery models
