Job Title: Senior ETL Developer – Snowflake
Location: Calgary, AB, Canada
Work Mode: 5 Days Onsite
Job type:12 months plus
Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior ETL Developer with strong Snowflake expertise to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and modern data warehouse solutions. The candidate must have hands-on experience with Medallion Architecture, data governance, data quality, and secure, cost-efficient data solutions.
Mandatory Skills & Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Architecture.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
- Proven production experience implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Stored Procedures.
- Experience with IDMC pipelines, Snowpipe, Change Data Capture (CDC), and data ingestion.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data validation, profiling, transformation, cleansing, and data quality.
- Experience with Snowflake security and governance, including RBAC, Dynamic Data Masking, Row-Access Policies, and Column-Level Security.
- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Snowflake cost optimization, usage monitoring, tagging, alerts, and credit management.
- Strong stakeholder communication, solution design, and technical mentoring skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Power BI or Qlik reporting tools.
- Control-M process orchestration.
- Snowflake Cortex Analyst/Search, Snowflake Intelligence, AI agents, and Snowflake Marketplace.
- Railway industry or operational data experience.
