The successful candidate will work closely with the paving foreman and equipment operators to ensure asphalt is placed, levelled, and finished to grade safely and efficiently.

- Ability to work long hours in physically demanding conditions
- Strong understanding of grades and asphalt placement
- Team player with good communication skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Rake and lute hot asphalt to proper grade and depth
- Assist with asphalt spreading, leveling, and finishing
- Work alongside paver operators and screedmen
- Check grades, slopes, and elevations as directed
- Perform handwork around edges, curbs, catch basins, and tight areas
- Maintain a clean and safe work site
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with general labour tasks as required

Responsibilities
Rake and lute hot asphalt to the required grade and depth, assist with spreading, leveling, and finishing, and check grades, slopes, and elevations. Work with paving operators and screedmen, complete handwork in tight areas, and maintain a clean, safe worksite while following company procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience as a paving raker is required, along with a strong understanding of grades and asphalt placement. Candidates must be able to work long hours in physically demanding conditions, communicate and collaborate effectively, and hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
