Science and Chemistry Teacher – Cariboo Hill Secondary
Temporary Full-time: ASAP to approximately December 17, 2026

The district operates 41 elementary and 8 secondary schools, plus a number of additional facilities and district programs.
Burnaby School District invites applications from
qualified Teachers for a temporary full-time position at Cariboo Hill Secondary, teaching
Science (Science 9 and 10; Chemistry 11).
Required Teacher Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or academic equivalent in an appropriate field of study;
- A relevant methodology course
- A valid BC Teaching Certificate
- Recent, successful, substantive teaching or practicum experience in the relevant grade level
Science Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science, Bachelor of Education degree or academic equivalent
- Science courses at the 300/400 level equal to 18 credits in subject areas such as Biology, Chemistry and Physics which are relevant to the prescribed curriculum
- Science methodology course

Salary And Benefits
- Salary Range: $66,248 to $116,637 per annum based on Teachers' Salary Grid
- Placement on salary scale will be determined by years of experience and qualifications in accordance collective agreement.
Upon hire, opportunity to sign up for benefits as per the Teachers' Provincial Collective Agreement. How much you pay for your benefits will be determined by the position you have and the fte (full time equivalent).
