Job Title: Application Analyst - Intermediate
Location: Edmonton, AB (Hybrid)
Duration: Contract
We are seeking an experienced Application System Analyst to support a business-critical application development and maintenance project.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of application development in a large enterprise IT environment
- Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and Microsoft Visual Studio
- Strong MS SQL Server, SSMS, stored procedures, data modelling, and reporting services
- Experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Requirements gathering and direct end-user engagement
- Application testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using C# and .NET
- Design and implement MS SQL databases
- Gather and analyze business requirements
- Perform unit, system, and integration testing
- Prepare technical designs, application architecture, and system documentation
- Coordinate releases, resolve technical issues, and support business users
Nice to Have:
- Complex system integration, web services, and legacy applications
- Agile methodology
- GitHub
- Unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)
- Oil Sands regulations or royalty-related domain experience
Work Requirements:
- Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
- Must work from within Alberta
- Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM Alberta time
