Position Summary

The Technical Business Development Representative (TBDR) supports C-Therm's growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Applications, Engineering, and our global distribution partners, this role serves as an entry point into C-Therm's commercial organization. It is designed to provide a broad foundation in technical sales, business development, customer engagement, and commercial strategy. The position offers structured mentorship, training, and professional development, with a clear path toward expanded commercial responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Prospecting

Research organizations, laboratories, and key decision-makers within target markets.
Execute outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
Follow up on marketing campaigns, inbound inquiries, webinar attendees, and event leads.
Identify customer challenges, initiatives, and opportunities where C-Therm can provide value.
Qualify opportunities and coordinate introductory meetings for the commercial team.

Market Intelligence and Account Development

Conduct account mapping and market research activities.
Identify emerging technologies, industries, and application areas relevant to C-Therm.
Gather competitive intelligence and customer feedback to support business strategy.
Support territory planning and strategic growth initiatives.

Commercial Support

Maintain accurate records and activity tracking within Salesforce.
Assist with opportunity management, forecasting, and pipeline development.
Participate in customer discovery calls, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
Support trade shows, webinars, workshops, and customer-facing events.

Learning and Development

Develop a strong understanding of C-Therm's products, applications, and customer markets.
Learn consultative selling methodologies and best practices.
Collaborate with technical experts to understand customer requirements and scientific applications.
Participate in ongoing coaching, sales training, and professional development programs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Comfort engaging new people and building professional relationships.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Interest in technology, science, engineering, or technical products.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, recruiting, fundraising, sales, or business development.
STEM education or technical coursework.
Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Experience with LinkedIn and professional networking tools.
Multilingual capabilities.
Participation in competitive sports, leadership programs, student organizations, or other performance-oriented environments.
