WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

Something meaningful, in an industry that quietly touches billions of lives and almost nobody thinks about. The work inside it is slow, manual and consequential and the decisions being made every day deserve to be faster, more consistent, and easier to stand behind.

THE ROLE: YOU WILL BUILD IT END TO END

You own everything a scientist sees and touches, and it has to work the same in our cloud and offline inside a customer's own network.

• The review surface: TypeScript, React, SVG and Canvas over tens of thousands of data points

• Interaction: pointer events, drag, requestAnimationFrame, state that never disagrees with what is drawn

• Binary data in the browser: ArrayBuffer, DataView, typed arrays, Web Workers

• Client-side exports: ZIP, XLSX and PNG generated in the browser, byte-exact

• The platform screens: configuration, review queues, audit trail, admin

• The plumbing: Vite, component and end-to-end tests in Playwright, CI that blocks regressions

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Strong TypeScript and React, and an eye for how something should look and feel

• You design for people who are not software natives: clear labels, big targets, and keyboard shortcuts for the experts

• You have built a data-heavy interface that stays fast, not a CRUD app with a chart library dropped in

• Rendering performance as a skill: SVG, Canvas, and knowing when the browser is lying to you

• Enough backend ability to ship an endpoint yourself: Python, Postgres, an AWS service or two. Nobody is handing you a finished API

• You use AI tooling hard, and you are ruthless about reviewing what it writes (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.)

NICE TO HAVE

• Scientific or financial charting

• Apps that run offline or inside locked-down corporate networks

• Regulated software: audit trails, electronic signatures

• A specific number of years. We care whether you can do the work, not how long you have been doing it

• Any degree or higher education

• A design background. You are not here to make things pretty, but you should mind when they are not
